CHICAGO — A dog fell 43 stories from a Loop high-rise Wednesday morning, officials said.
A doorman found the dog outside the building in the 300 block of East South Water Street about 8:15 a.m., police said. Officials from the city's Animal Care and Control department were on the scene about 12:45 p.m., police said.
The doorman told police he recognized the dog as living on the 43rd floor of the building, authorities said.
It is unclear whether the dog jumped or was thrown.
