CHICAGO — A South Shore woman was found stabbed to death in her home Thursday, officials said.

Police were called to a home in the 7100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue for a well-being check.

There, they found Nina Rogers, 51, unresponsive and bleeding. She was pronounced dead shortly after, about 9:40 a.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A Friday autopsy from the medical examiner's office ruled Rogers' death a homicide.

No one was in custody as of Friday evening.
