Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Edens

CHICAGO — A Glenview man died in a motorcycle crash along the Edens Expressway on the North Side Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The man was speeding northbound on a motorcycle when he crashed into a bridge support structure near the Wilson Avenue exit in Irving Park about 1:15 a.m., an Illinois State Trooper said. No other injuries were reported.

He was pronounced dead at the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office at 4:35 a.m. and identified as Willie Carrington, 29, of the first block of Harlem Avenue in suburban Glenview.

The northbound lanes of the expressway were closed until about 5 a.m., the trooper said.
