COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — A 23-year-old man is accused of sexually assaulting two women, including a 61-year-old, in separate incidents during one evening last month.

Darell Young, of the 5200 block of South Seeley Avenue, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual assault of a victim over the age of 60.

The evening of July 5, Young knocked on the door of a 61-year-old woman in a Woodlawn apartment in the 600 block of East 69th Street, according to Assistant State's Attorney Amanda Pillsbury and arrest documents.

Young allegedly told the woman, whom she let in because knew him, "You're going to give me some p---y," according to Pillsbury. He grabbed her around her neck, lifted her clothes and sexually assaulted her, Pillsbury said.

He then ran from the apartment, Pillsbury said.

During the same evening, Young invited a 22-year-old woman and someone else to his friend's apartment in the same building in the 600 block of East 69th Street, according to Pillsbury and arrest documents.

Pillsbury said that at some point, Young and the 22-year-old were left alone in a stairwell, and Young told her to walk down the stairs. He then grabbed the woman by her neck, forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, Pillsbury said.

He then took her phone and purse and left her in the stairwell, Pillsbury said.

Investigative alerts were put out for the assaults, and Young was taken into custody on Saturday morning, according to arrest documents. Pillsbury said that the 61-year-old woman identified Young as her attacker to police.

Judge James Brown ordered Young held on a $750,000 bail Sunday.
