Police Warn Hyde Park Residents of Recent Spike in Burglaries

CHICAGO — Police are warning Hyde Park residents of a spike in apartment burglaries in the neighborhood.

The burglaries occurred during the day June 27 in the 5200 block of South Woodlawn Avenue and the 5300 block of South Greenwood Avenue, according to a community alert.

A burglary also occurred at some point between June 28 and Monday in the 5300 block of South Greenwood Avenue, police said.
