Police to Be On the Lookout for Drunken Drivers in Gresham This Weekend

CHICAGO — Gresham will see red, white and blue not just in fireworks, but in police lights this Fourth of July weekend.

Police will conduct a roadside safety check from 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday at 2340 W. 87th St. Police will slow down and stop cars as they watch for signs of drunken drivers.

Roadside safety checks are conducted in different spots throughout the year. A check on June 14-15 resulted in 36 tickets being issued, nine for DUI.
