CHICAGO — A man robbed a West Ridge bank at gunpoint Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The man entered a Fifth Third bank branch at 7574 N. Western Ave. about 9:30 a.m. and gave a note to the teller demanding cash, said Officer John Mirabelli, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
The employee gave the man money, and he fled with an unknown amount of cash, Mirabelli said. No injuries were reported.
The FBI described the suspect as a black man 55 to 60 years old between 5-feet-8 inches and 5-feet-9 inches tall. He was wearing a white shirt, cap and glasses during the robbery, according to the FBI.
