LINCOLN SQUARE — A slew of yard sales this weekend offer multiple opportunities to pick up something for a buck that turns out to be worth $500,000 on "Antiques Roadshow."

Northcenter Neighborhood Association kicks off its second annual community-wide yard sale, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on June 1. A map of the 35 houses participating in the event also includes a list of items available at many of the homes.

Same time, same date, head to Irving Park's historic Villa district. The alleys from Harding to Hamlin and Addison to Avondale promise to be chock full of toys, books, clothes, jewelry, furniture and more.

The Bowmanville Community Organization has a whopping 85 families taking part in the neighborhood's annual street/yard sale, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on June 1. A map had yet to be posted, although the 2012 guide was still available online. Bowmanville's boundaries are Ravenswood Avenue, Foster Avenue, Western Avenue and Rosehill Cemetery.

After all that walking on Saturday, you'll be glad to hear that Sunday's Chase Park yard sale brings a variety of sellers together in a single location — the park. Proceeds from the event, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., will help pay for improvements at Chase, 4701 N. Ashland Ave.

In the event of rain, the sale will move indoors to the fieldhouse gym.
