CHICAGO — A man was fatally shot and another wounded in drive-by shootings blocks from each other in West Pullman Wednesday afternoon, police said.

A man believed to be in his 20s was shot in his neck, chest and abdomen about 1:08 p.m. in the 11200 block of South Halsted Street, officials said.

The victim was taken to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The car was described as possibly a gray Hyundai or Toyota, police said.

About one minute earlier, a man was hit in another drive-by shooting by a bullet that grazed his groin in the 12200 block of South Carpenter Avenue.

The man, whose age was unknown, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition.

The vehicle in that shooting was also described as a gray Hyundai, police said.

The two shootings were likely related, police said.
