Mayfair Residents Warned of Suspicious Man Casing Homes

MAYFAIR — The Mayfair Civic Association is warning neighbors about a young man who has trespassed on several properties during the past month, even attempting to gain access to homes when the owners are present.

The suspicious individual, who appears to be checking houses to see if they are open or not, is described as a roughly 18-year-old African-American man with a thin build, medium-length hair, 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds.

An alert, issued by Ron Duplack, president of the Mayfair Civic Association, offered further detail on the behavior in question: "He enters property acting scared and claiming that he was being chased by others with a knife and asks to use the phone."
