Laptops, iPads Stolen From Schools, Cops Say

CHICAGO — Laptops and iPads have been stolen from several schools during April, officials said.

In Washington Park, burglars unlawfully entered elementary schools and took a black and grey Dell laptop in one instance and black iPads in another, police said.

The items were stolen from the 5700 block of South Michigan Avenue and the 4400 block of South King Drive, according to a community alert.

On the Near West Side, burglars broke into an elementary school and took undisclosed electronics. The incidents occurred about 11:30 p.m. March 27 and 10:15 p.m. April 4 in the 2600 block of West Washington Boulevard, police said.
