One Killed, Three Injured in Shootings Overnight

CHICAGO — One man was killed and three others injured in a rash of shootings late Thursday and early Friday.

The fatal shooting took place in the 6600 block of South Ashland Avenue in West Englewood, police said.

Deshaun Williams, of the 8400 block of South Burley Avenue, was shot in the head about 12:50 a.m. Friday, police said.

Williams, 20, was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.

A 32-year-old man who was with Williams was shot in the stomach and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

About an hour earlier, a 23-year-old man was shot in the knee in the 5400 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Gage Park, according to police.

He was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot in both legs about 8 p.m. Thursday and taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The man was on the street in the 2700 block of West Lexington Street in East Garfield Park when a gunman drove by in a green vehicle and fired several shots, police said.

No suspects are in custody.
