GLENVIEW — A 21-year-old woman was killed after a car crash along the Tri-State Tollway late Saturday, authorities said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Danielle Pisterzi, 21, of the 5700 block of West Nina Avenue.

The accident happened about 10:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Brian McKinney.

Pisterzi was traveling southbound down I-294 in Glenview when she lost control of her car and rolled over the median, McKinney said. The 21 year-old may have been trying to pass another car at the time, McKinney said.

Pisterzi, who was the ony person in the car, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car, McKinney said.

She was taken to Advocate Luthern General Hospital in Park Ridge where she was pronounced dead at 11:52 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
