CHICAGO — Weekend bloodshed across the city left six people dead.

A 19-year-old was shot dead in Chatham Sunday night, police said. He was shot in 8400 block of South Martin Luther King Drive while walking with two other men about 7 p.m., police said. Authorities said the killing of Marcus Turner, whose last recorded address was in the 6600 block of South Maryland Avenue, might have been gang related.

Earlier, shots fired on the Dan Ryan Expressway left a 22-year-old man dead and another wounded, authorities said. Three men were traveling on the expressway when shots rang out about 2:30 a.m., cops said. Lavonshay Cooper, of the 4200 block of West Cortez Street in Humboldt Park, was pronounced dead at 3:05 a.m, according to the Cook County medical examiner.

The other man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

A 55-year-old woman was apparently stabbed by her daughter in their South Chicago home about 6:45 p.m. Saturday night, police said. Angela Welch, 55, died after she was stabbed multiple times in the 8300 block of South Kingston Avenue, authorities said. Lonika Welch, 25, was charged with first-degree murder following the killing.

A 15-year-old died after he was shot at least 15 times in Englewood Saturday afternoon, authorities said. He was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen in the 5500 block of South Loomis Boulevard about 3:10 p.m., police said.

He was later identified as Christopher Lattin Jr., whose last known address was in the 5600 block of South Marshfield Avenue in West Englewood, a spokeswoman from the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said. Someone was taken into custody for the shooting, but no charges had been filed as of Monday morning, police said.

A 33-year-old man was stabbed during a fight outside a liquor store in the 4800 block of West Jackson Avenue in Austin Saturday night, police said. It was previously reported that the stabbing happened on West Gladys Avenue. Taison Moore, of the 2700 block of West 15th Place, died Sunday morning after sustaining multiple stab wounds to the left chest and shoulder, authorities said.

In non-fatal shootings, at least nine were injured from gunshot wounds from Friday night into Saturday, cops said.
