CHICAGO - A fetus was found in a trash can on the South Side Thursday morning, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The human fetus was discovered just before 6 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of West 94th Street, police said.

Police said they were investigating, but had no further information.
