ENGLEWOOD — An Englewood man was shot and killed early Saturday following an argument at a house party, authorities said.

Tremayne Franklin, 33, was pronouced dead just before 3 a.m. according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Franklin was at a house party in the 6100 block of South Morgan Street when he got into an argument with someone at the party, police said. He was then approached from behind and shot in the back of the head outside the house, authorities said.

Franklin, of the 7900 block of South Kingston Avenue, was a registered sex offender, according to the website of the Illinois State Police.

Franklin was one of six people killed from Friday night to Saturday morning.
