CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Tuesday night, authorities said.
The victim was in the 4600 block of South Damen Avenue at about 8 p.m. when someone fired shots at him.
The boy was struck several times and suffered injuries to his chest, leg and arm, police said.
He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
No suspect was in custody as of Wednesday morning, police said.
