CHICAGO — A 73-year-old Albany Park man was charged with murdering his son earlier this month, police said Tuesday.
Tiny Tim Gilbert, of the 4900 block of North Whipple Street, was charged with first-degree murder after he allegedly pulled a gun on his son and shot him dead during a fight in their home Nov. 15, police said.
Bryan Lopez, 24, who lived with Gilbert, died within an hour after he suffered a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The suspect appeared in court Wednesday, where he was ordered held without bail, according to court documents.
