Lake Shore Drive

A state law allowing airport-style noise monitoring for Lake Shore Drive went into effect this week.

The ramp will be closed Saturday night to Sunday morning.

Some lanes and ramps along the Stevenson will be shut down 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Detours will be available for drivers trying to cross the Chicago River.

The bridge, which is 20 feet wide, is the city's first suspension bridge, officials said.
