43rd Ward Election

Incumbent Ald. Michele Smith and Caroline Vickrey battled for control of the North Side's 43rd Ward.

Just 98 votes seperated the incumbent Smith and Vickrey in Lincoln Park.

The mayor is supporting Michele Smith, who has raised more than four times her opponent in the runoff.

Ald. Michele Smith's former opponent in her 2011 runoff, Tim Egan, announced his support of Smith.
