The story of Bethlehem comes to life — donkeys, sheep and all — during Bethany United Church of Christ's annual Living Nativity from 3-8 p.m. Friday at the church, 4250 N. Paulina St.

Animals are trucked into the city from Friendly Farms in DeKalb to set the stage for the traditional Christmas manger scene. Members of the church congregation, both children and adults, take turns playing the roles of Joseph and Mary.
