Enjoy some old-fashioned holiday cheer at the outdoor Irish Christmas Market hosted at Montrose Green, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., 1819 W. Montrose Ave., Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22.

Situated directly adjacent to the Montrose Brown Line station, the market will feature all manner of food, drinks, gifts and crafts to put you in the holiday spirit.

Browse gifts from Irish Imports and pick up a Christmas tree or wreath from Farmer Garden's Market. Sample a pint from Begyle Brewing or Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro and grab a bite from Himmel's, Crepe a la Francaise, Cheesie's food truck and Sweet Sensations pastry.

Santa will be on hand for photos with the little ones, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., each day the market is open.

Additional entertainment scheduled over the course of the market's run includes a visit from Old Town School's Wiggleworms program, an appearance by St. Benedict's choir and performances by the Mayer School of Irish Dance.

Admission to the market is free and open to all ages.
