Two-person modern art collective Industry of the Ordinary showcases a sampling of more than 80 projects that include sculpture, still photography, multimedia and performance-based art. The six-month installation's Latin name, "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi," translates to "thus passes the glory of the world." The retrospective will be on display at the Chicago Cultural Center from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The show runs through Feb. 17, and admission is free.
