Kick off the holiday season at the Ninth Annual Fountain Decorating Social scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday in Wicker Park's park at 1425 N. Damen Ave.
The free social involves decorating the park's historic fountain and urns with greens, dried flowers and grasses from the Wicker Park gardens as well as LED Lights. Bring holiday finger food to share. Coffee and water will be provided.
The afternoon of hard work will culminate with a fountain lighting at 4 p.m. While the event is free, an RSVP to wpgarden@aol.com is requested. Call at 773-278-9075 for more information.
