Burglars Hit Hansberry Square 3 Times In A Week, Police Say

DOUGLAS — Police are warning people in Douglas that burglars have robbed homes in Hansberry Square three times in the last week.

According to police, people are reporting that burglars broke into their homes through either the front or back door and took items in the Hansberry Square development.

Police reported the first burglary happened sometime between 9:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 on the 4000 block of South Federal Street.

The next burglary report came at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday on the 4000 block of South Dearborn Street, followed by another report at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 43000 block of South Dearborn Street.

Police did not release a description of any suspects.
