CHICAGO — A 6-year-old boy drowned during a pool party in the Norwood Park neighborhood on Saturday, according to police.
At 4:13 p.m., officers arrived in the 5900 block of North Oconto Avenue to find the boy, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Dillan Campbell, unconscious.
After his family attempted CPR on him, Dillan was taken to Resurrection Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Detectives are conducting a death investigation, police said.
