CHICAGO — Three people — including a teenage woman — were shot by a robber even after complying with his demands Tuesday night in Englewood, police said.

At 10:10 p.m., the victims were on the sidewalk in the 7200 block of South May Street when two people — one of whom had a gun — walked up to them and demanded they hand over their belongings, police said.

The three victims gave the robbers what they had and the robber with a gun fired shots at them, police said.

An 18-year-old woman was hit in her right ankle and a 38-year-old man was hit in his stomach. They were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

A bullet grazed a 33-year-old woman's right hand and she refused medical attention, police said.

The robbers ran away after the shooting, police said. No one was in custody.
