Heart Of Chicago Shooting Wounds Man; Attackers Covered Faces With Shirts

CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Heart of Chicago on Sunday afternoon, police said.

At 1:12 p.m., the man was in the 2300 block of West 21st Street when several people got out of a dark-colored car and fired shots at the man, police said.

The man was hit in his face and abdomen and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

The attackers covered their faces with their shirts, police said, and they drove off after the shooting.

No one was in custody.
