ARMOUR SQUARE — Chicago's newest music fest, to be held at Guaranteed Rate Field, will have an anti-violence aim and will be headlined by some of the city's biggest musical acts.

The first annual Get IN It Music Fest will be an all-day event at the ballpark at 333 W. 35th St. on Sept. 16. In part, it is produced by Get IN Chicago, an organization that counsels community-based groups and funds anti-violence initiatives focused on the most at-risk kids in the city.

Headlining the festival will be Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Fifth Harmony, Fat Joe and hometown stars Lupe Fiasco and Jeremih. Celebrities and local athletes will make surprise appearances and will promote the event.

Guaranteed Rate Field is not new to concerts or even hip-hop heavy music fests. Chance The Rapper's Magnificent Coloring Day, held in September 2016, drew a massive crowd to the ballpark.

But this event will be the first time the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, which runs the state-owned stadium, has produced a show, its CEO said in a statement.

"We are very excited to launch this new endeavor with Get IN It MusicFest," said Anthony J. O'Neill, CEO of the Illinois Spots Facilities Authority, which runs the Guaranteed Rate Field. "We feel the range of artists will draw concertgoers and fans to the stadium from all over the city. IFSA has a long history of presenting successful concerts, festival and other events, and for the first time, we are producing events ourselves."

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Get IN Chicago. Tickets range in price from $35 to $150 and will go on sale to the public Aug. 11 at Ticketmaster or at the fest's site.

Other acts slated to perform include: Prince Royce, DNCE, Carl Thomas and Felix Da Housecat, among others.
