CHICAGO — Officials are searching Montrose Beach after a woman went missing there Sunday morning, police said.
The woman, who was in her 40s, was last seen going into the water at Montrose Beach at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. Officials searched for the woman until 11 p.m. but were unable to find her.
Officials attempted to search for the woman again on Monday morning, but they had to suspend the search because of "high waves" and "deteriorating visibility of the lake bottom," police said.
