CHICAGO — A 17-year-old girl was shot in West Garfield Park Wednesday afternoon.
At 2:14 p.m., the girl was outside in the 4700 block of West Gladys Avenue when someone in a gray four door sedan opened fire, striking her multiple times in body, police said.
She was taken to Cook County Hospital in serious condition, police said.
The girl was with a group of men on a porch at the time of the shooting and was not the intended target, WGN reported.
