ALBANY PARK — Some neighborhoods are defined by a single cuisine — think Little Italy or Greektown — but Albany Park's dining scene is all over the map.

In fact, participants in the Flavors of Albany Park restaurant crawl, set for May 24, will need a "passport" in order to embark on the global culinary tour.

The passport is actually diners' ticket to tasting portions of food — from pho to kebabs to pizza — at more than a dozen restaurants on Kedzie Avenue, with entertainment sprinkled along the route.

The evening kicks off at 6 p.m., with passport pickup at Golden Crust Pizza and Tap, 4620 N. Kedzie Ave. Guests have until 9 p.m. to collect passport stamps — and food samples — from restaurants. Stick around for the after-party at Golden Crust.

Buy tickets in advance (click here) and save $5 off the day-of price. The cost is $30 for adults; $20 for students (university included, valid ID required); and $15 for children age 12 and under.
