Pair Of Armed Robbers Demand Victims' Cell Phones, Police Say

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police are warning of a pair of armed robbers in Washington Heights who are demanding their victims' cell phones, according to police.

Armed with handguns, the robbers target victims who are alone in Washington Heights. The pair are described as black men between 19 and 24 years old, according to police.

One of the robbers is approximately 5-foot-8 iand weighs roughly 150 pounds with facial acne. The other is also approximately 5-foot-8 feet and around 180 pounds. Both were seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, police said.

The three robberies took place at:

• 4:45 p.m. April 14 in the 9000 block of south Ada Street

• 6 p.m. April 20 in the 9200 block of south May Street

• 10 a.m. Monday in the 9000 block of south Loomis Street
