CHICAGO — Five people were injured in a CTA bus crash on Thursday, police said.

At 11:38 a.m., the bus was involved in a crash in the 7500 block of South King Drive, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Two people were in serious to critical condition, said Deputy District Chief Jeff Lyle, a Chicago Fire spokesman. One was taken to Stroger Hospital and another was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Three people were in good condition after the crash. Two were taken to Jackson Park Hospital and another was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, Lyle said.

The age and conditions of the people who were injured was not immediately available, Lyle said, but they were listed as "stable." Three people refused to be taken to area hospitals.
