RAVENSWOOD — Band of Bohemia just earned a Michelin star for its cuisine, so why is the brew pub swapping out chefs?
For one night only, on Dec. 13, the Ravenswood restaurant is turning over its kitchen to Half Acre's taproom chef Nick Lacasse as a "way of offering accolades to a fellow comrade in the Chicago craft beer community," according to a statement from Band of Bohemia.
Lacasse is prepping two menus: an eight-course tasting menu available only at Band of Bohemia's "chef's counter," which seats six, and a four-course tasting menu available in the main dining room, with two of the dishes developed by Band of Bohemia's chef Matt DuBois.
There will be two seatings at the chef's counter — 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. — for a cost of $110 per person, with the option to add a beverage pairing. Email cheftakeover@bandofbohemia.com to inquire about availability.
The four-course tasting menu will cost $55; reservations can be made online, by calling 773-271-4710 or emailing reso@bandofbohemia.com.
Live music from jazz band Brooklyn Britches & the Whispers kicks off at 9 p.m., 4710 N. Ravenswood Ave.
