Ashburn Hit By 3 Armed Robberies In 2 Weeks, Police Say

CHICAGO — Two men are robbing people at gunpoint in Ashburn, police said.

During the robberies, the men walk up to their victim from behind, take out a gun and tell the victim to give them his or her property, according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The robberies occurred:

• 9:45 a.m. Nov. 18 in the 7700 block of South Kedzie Avenue

• 4:40 p.m. Nov. 19 in the 7700 block of South Trumbull Avenue

• 4:30 p.m. Nov. 28 in the 3300 block of West 77th Street

One of the thieves was a black teen or man who was 17-25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 6-foot-2 and weighed 150-175 pounds, police said. The other was a black man who was 18-20 years old.
