DOWNTOWN — Chicago is one of the hardest cities to live in during the winter, according to experts.

Not that Chicagoans needed expert input to know that.

The city routinely has some of the coldest average temperatures and heaviest snowfall of major cities December to February, according to a video from AccuWeather. (Well, we are known as Chiberia.)

"Many of the nastiest storms in history have hit Chicago, including a 1967 blizzard that left an astounding 23 inches" of snow, according to the video.

Watch the video:

That blizzard, which lasted 35 hours, still holds the city's record for snow accumulation. But the city has faced harsh storms more recently: More than 19 inches of snow fell on Chicago in February 2015.

This winter is expected to be no picnic, with meteorologists predicting the city could see more than 45 inches of snow throughout the season.

The only cities ranked worse than Chicago for winter living were Buffalo and Boston along the East Coast. Cleveland, apparently, is just a little easier to deal with in the winter, according to the video.
