RAVENSWOOD — It would take weeks of concerted effort to sample all of Ravenswood's culinary destinations, one restaurant and brewery at a time.
Taste of Ravenswood brings the neighborhood's dining and drinking hot spots together under one roof, sparking a number of creative collaborations and pairings among the more than two dozen participants.
Among the highlights: Band of Bohemia, fresh off receiving a Michelin star, will be serving a mushroom tart and pouring its pear fenugreek wheat beer; and coming-soon Sweet Virginia's Kitchen will offer up a taste of what diners can expect, pairing its ancho turkey chili with beers from Empirical Brewery.
The event is set for 7-10 p.m., Nov. 18, at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4025 N. Ravenswood Ave. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online.
The cost of general admission is $70 and includes 20 tasting pours and unlimited food. VIP admission for $100 buys the ticketholder early entry at 6 p.m. and offers unlimited food and drinks.
