By Joe Ward | October 24, 2016 10:34am

CHICAGO — A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death in a domestic dispute early Sunday in Woodlawn, and a 27-year-old man has been arrested in the case, police said.

Both men were in the 6600 block of South Vernon Avenue about 8:15 a.m. Sunday when the younger man stabbed the older man in his chest, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. She described the incident as "domestic-related."

The 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, Tannehill said. He has been identified as Lucius Delaney, who lived in the same block where he was killed, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Officers arrested the 27-year-old man at the scene, Tannehill said. Charges are pending against him.
