CHICAGO — Two men were arrested and charged for allegedly attacking two students on the Loyola University campus Thursday, crimes which come after a string of groping incidents that took place in the neighborhood last month.

Chicago Police said Peter Rivera, 35, has been charged with battery and criminal trespass to land, police said. Cesar Castro, 35, was charged with simple assault and criminal trespass to land.

The two men approached two 18-year-old female students at the 1100 block of West Loyola Avenue around 4:40 p.m. Thursday, officer Kevin Quaid said. The men grabbed and held onto the girls' hands as they talked, not allowing them to leave.

Both men in Thursday's attack return to court on Nov. 30.

The arrests come after a series of incidents targeting women near Loyola dating to Sept. 6.

Soroush Aflaki, 22, was charged in two of the attacks, and prosecutors and police believe he might have been involved in additional cases.

Aflaki faces charges of aggravated battery in a public place.
