Grand Crossing Shooting Critically Wounds Man, 24, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Grand Crossing left a 24-year-old man wounded Saturday morning, police said.

At 10:20 a.m., the man was standing in the 7100 block of South King Drive when someone walked up, fired shots and ran away, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit three times in his upper body and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, Lemmon said.

No one was in custody.
