Korry Rogers, 19, Shot Dead In Back Of The Yards, Officials Say

BACK OF THE YARDS — A Back of the Yards shooting left 19-year-old Korry Rogers dead, police said.

At 6:15 p.m., Rogers was found by officers in the 5200 block of South Sangamon Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. 

Rogers was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Estrada said. Rogers, of the 5600 block of South Throop, was pronounced dead at 7:24 p.m. and an autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, police said.
