DUNNING — The driver of a car that struck and killed a man crossing a Dunning street early Sunday morning has been charged in connection with the crash, police said.

The man died after he was struck at 12:40 a.m. Sunday by a car in the 7900 block of west Belmont Avenue, police said. His identity has not yet been released by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, spokeswoman Becky Schlikerman said.

Driver Jaime Delgado was ticketed for negligent driving in connection with the crash. In addition, Delgado was ticketed for driving without a license, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department.
