Miles Alexander Kent Killed In Chatham Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — Miles Alexander Kent was left dead after a shooting in Chatham on Friday evening, police said.

At 5:35 p.m., Kent was in the 7600 block of South Lafayette Avenue when he was shot, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Kent was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Lemmon said. He was 25 years old.

Kent, of the 8200 block of South Buffalo Avenue, was pronounced dead at 6:33 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.

No one was in custody.
