LINCOLN SQUARE — Fans of terra firma will be glad to know there are alternatives to the weekend's crazy popular (and crazy crowded) Air & Water Show.

Sure, the Thunderbirds put on an awesome display, but this guy called Shakespeare also knows a little something about entertaining the masses — he's been doing it for 400 years.

The gender-bending romantic comedy features a number of Shakespeare's go-to plot points: an evil duke, mistaken identity and star-crossed lovers. Fun fact: The play is also the source of the phrase "too much of a good thing."

For a complete change of pace, Theater-Hikes is mounting a production of "Driving Miss Daisy" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Horner Park, 2741 W. Montrose Ave.

The show focuses on an odd-couple relationship between an aging Southern white widow and her black chauffeur.

Audience members will follow the troupe as they move around the park, staging scenes from one area to another.

Admission to both "As You Like It" and "Driving Miss Daisy" is free, though donations are welcome.
