Don't be this guy. If you get caught drinking on a Metra train after 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, you could get kicked off.

DOWNTOWN — If you like to have a cold one on your Metra ride home, you better leave work on time Thursday and Friday.

Thanks to Lollapalooza, Metra is banning alcohol on its trains after 7 p.m. both Thursday and Friday.

It's also banned all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Lollapalooza is typically just three days, meaning the booze ban in past years only impacted commuters on Friday night. But, in honor of its 25th anniversary, the festival this year was extended to four days.

In addition to no booze, glass bottles are also banned from Metra trains.

Passengers breaking the rules could be kicked off the train or even arrested, Metra says.

There will be bag inspections by police at the stations, too.
