CHICAGO — Demetrius Paskel, 19, died the day after being shot in Garfield Park.
At 2:26 p.m. Wednesday, Paskel was in the 4000 block of West Van Buren when he was shot in his head, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.
Paskel was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Quaid said.
Paskel, of Forest Park, was pronounced dead at 4:43 p.m. Thursday, according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
