HYDE PARK — There will be a late-night party on Saturday at 57th Street Books for the release of a new story about a grown up Harry Potter.
The bookstore, 1301 E. 57th St., will hold a costume party with Hogwartian refreshments and door prizes at 8 p.m. ahead of the midnight release of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
The new story is the first about the boy wizard in 19 years, but imagines Potter grown up with child wizards of his own for a new play premiering Saturday in London.
The bookstore will have copies of the play’s special rehearsal edition, with a definitive edition expected to be released sometime next year.
