Englewood Shootings Wound 2 Men, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings in Englewood have left two men wounded since Friday, police said.

• Most recently, at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a 27-year-old man was shot in the 400 block of West 75th Street, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was driving when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his wrist. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Lemmon said.

• At 5:25 p.m. Friday, an 18-year-old man was shot in the 5700 block of South Bishop Street, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his neck and took himself to St. Bernard Hospital. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Zala said.

The man was uncooperative with officers, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
