CHICAGO — Yea, it's kinda chilly out, in a summer kind of way.

Temperatures at both airports have dropped more than 20 degrees in the past 24 hours, the National Weather Service says.

At O'Hare Airport, between 2 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday, temperatures were 21 degrees chillier: 89 compared to 68. At Midway, temps dropped 22 degrees in the same time period, from 90 to 68.

Warmer weather is ahead: sunny with a high of 78 on Wednesday; high of 82 on Thursday (with a 20 percent chance of rain) and perhaps more rain on Friday with a high of 75.

The weekend looks like this: Saturday sunny with a high of 77; Sunday will hit 80 and the 4th of July should be mostly sunny with a high of 83.
